Quorum Hospitality Appoints Chris Dobbins as Chief Development Officer to Drive Strategic Growth
Newport Beach, CA—July 17, 2025 - Quorum Hospitality is proud to announce the expansion of their leadership team to include Chris Dobbins as Chief Development Officer.
Chris brings to Quorum more than 35 years of industry experience, including leadership roles in operations, sales and marketing, and development at Starwood, Hyatt, IHG, and Marriott. He has consistently demonstrated the ability to build strong brands, cohesive teams and valuable portfolios that support long-term success.
In this new role, Chris will play a key role in enhancing Quorum Hospitality’s business development efforts, enabling the company to thoughtfully pursue opportunities and strategic partnerships.

Throughout his career, Chris has focused on hotel real estate and development across a wide range of segments, including select-service, experiential, boutique hotels and luxury resorts. At Starwood, he played a significant role in developing properties across the Western US, Mexico and Canada, and contributed meaningfully to the launch of their select service brands. At Hyatt, he was closely involved in the development of more than 130 hotels and the launch of the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands. With his collaborative style and entrepreneurial mindset, Chris is adept at navigating complex deal structures.
The addition of Chris marks an important step in Quorum Hospitality’s continued expansion, reinforcing its commitment to building trusted, long-term relationships that drive success for its team, partners and ownership groups.
